City’s Only Summer Rock Camp Lets Kids Rock Live on Stage and Record Music Video.
Toronto Music Camp, the only summer camp of its kind in Toronto, is celebrating their 10th year of providing Toronto kids ages 8-16 with the opportunity to rock. Every summer, the Danforth-based music camp pairs kids with the city’s top music talent for a jam-packed, exciting week in the life of a musician. In this one week, campers form a rock band, attend clinics and workshops tailored to their specific needs, rehearse and get a taste of the rock and roll dream.
“We are really excited to give these kids a fun way to stay involved with music during the summer and develop skills they can’t learn anywhere else.” said Vasilis Isaakidis, co-owner of Toronto Music Camp and Elite Music Academy, the music school behind the popular music camp.
The week of camp culminates with the kids in the studio with a professional sound engineer to record their track and then they shoot a music video with a professional videographer. You can see some of these videos on the camp’s YouTube channel. Every week ends with a live performance at The Fox and Fiddle on Danforth Ave.
